The BMECRA31210 is a Modicon X80 Ethernet RIO drop adapter that provides three RJ45 ports for ring or star topology remote I/O networks, switching at 1.8 A and supporting 10/100 Mbit/s with half/full duplex and auto MDIX. It carries IEC 61131-2, UL 61010-2-201, and IEC 61850-3 compliance, making it suitable for substation and industrial control environments.

The BMECRA31210 adds a third RJ45 port and Ethernet across the remote backplane compared to the BMXCRA31200, which has two ports and only Bus X across the backplane. The switching current is also higher at 1.8 A versus 1.2 A, giving the BMECRA31210 more headroom for powering downstream modules.
