Motor identity and supply constraints
The BMI0702T27F is a single-phase servo motor with an integrated EMC filter, designed to run directly from a single-phase AC supply without a line filter in most installations. At 230 VAC it delivers 4000 rpm; at 115 VAC the speed drops to 1700 rpm — match the input voltage to your line before commissioning. The nominal torque also shifts: 2.2 N·m at 115 V, 1.7 N·m at 230 V, so the lower-voltage winding actually yields higher torque density in this frame.
Feedback and braking
Feedback is an absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder — no homing on power-up, position is retained through a power cycle. This matters for packaging and pick-and-place axes where a home routine wastes cycle time. An integrated holding brake provides 3 N·m static torque, sufficient to hold vertical loads within the motor's rated output range. The brake coil draws 5 W; confirm your drive can supply the hold current without a separate brake supply.
Mechanical footprint and mounting
Flange size is 70 mm square with an international standard mounting pattern. The shaft is 11 mm diameter, 23 mm long, untapped — use a keyed coupling or clamp-on hub. Overall length is 306 mm (12.05 in) including the encoder and brake housing. Centring collar depth is 2.5 mm; mounting holes accept M5 fasteners. The IP65 rating means the motor can be washed down in food-grade applications provided the connector is properly mated.
