Overview
The BMI0703P11F is a Schneider Lexium 32i servo motor, 10-pole, three-phase, rated 900 W continuous power and 3.4 N·m torque at 480 V AC. It includes an integrated holding brake and an absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder with 131072 points/turn resolution. The motor is rated IP54, has a keyed shaft, and is cooled by natural convection. It is compatible with Lexium 32i drive control units LXM32i CANopen and LXM32i EtherCAT.
Compared to the brake-less BMI0703P12A, the BMI0703P11F includes a holding brake and has a rotor inertia of 1.78 kg·cm² versus 1.67 kg·cm² — the higher inertia from the brake adds resistance to axis deceleration, a factor when sizing the drive's braking resistor. The BMI0703P11F uses an absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder (131072 points/turn), while the BMI0703P12A uses an absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder (131072 points/turn x 4096 turns) — choose the single-turn variant when position tracking over multiple shaft revolutions is not required. For washdown environments, the BMI0703P21F offers IP65 protection versus the BMI0703P11F's IP54, and has an untapped shaft end instead of keyed — verify shaft coupling compatibility before substituting.
