The BMI0703P17A is a 10-pole, 3-stack servomotor in the BMI family, rated for three-phase 208...480 V supply. Nominal torque is 2.7 N·m at 400 V (23.9 lbf·in) and peak stall torque reaches 8.6 N·m across the voltage range. Speed tops out at 3300 rpm at 400 V, 3900 rpm at 480 V. Feedback is absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface — this must match the drive's feedback port. The integrated EMC filter reduces conducted emissions, but verify compatibility with your drive's filter settings. Mechanical: keyed shaft 14 mm diameter, 30 mm long, key width 5 mm. Centring collar 60 mm diameter, flange size 70 mm. Mounting is via an international standard flange with four 5.5 mm holes on a 2.8 in (70 mm) bolt circle.
Drive tuning and environmental limits
IP rating: shaft seal IP54, housing IP65. Suited for washdown areas but avoid high-pressure spray directly on the shaft seal. No holding brake — vertical-axis applications need an external brake or counterbalance. Maximum radial force at 3000 rpm is 510 N; derate to 400 N at 6000 rpm. Cooling is natural convection — no fan, so verify duty cycle at low speed.
