BMI1002P37A – 100 mm flange servo with absolute feedback
The absolute multiturn SinCos Hyperface encoder provides position retention on power loss, eliminating homing routines after a power cycle or emergency stop. This reduces commissioning time and reintroduces risk of lost reference on a multi-axis line. The motor is cooled by natural convection, so there is no fan to fail or filter to clog. Combined with an IP65 rating, the unit is suited for wet, dusty environments where forced-air cooling would pull in contaminants.
Mechanical interface and mounting
The motor uses a B5 100 mm flange with a centering collar diameter of 95 mm and a depth of 3.5 mm. Mounting hole diameter is 9 mm on four holes. The shaft is keyed, 19 mm diameter by 40 mm long, with a key width of 6 mm. No second shaft end is provided. Electrical connection is via printed circuit board connector, which means a mating PCB header is required in the customer cabling. This is a common interface for servo motors and keeps the connector compact.
