The Schneider Electric BMI1002T11A is a single-phase servo motor from the BMI series, rated for 750 W on 115 V input and 1300 W on 230 V input. It carries a SinCos Hiperface absolute single-turn encoder for position feedback, a 10-pole design, and an integrated EMC filter.
Torque and speed delivery by supply
At 115 V single-phase the motor delivers 5.4 Nm nominal torque at 1400 rpm; at 230 V single-phase it delivers 4.4 Nm at 3000 rpm. Peak stall torque is 14.5 Nm regardless of supply voltage. Continuous stall torque across the full 115–230 V range is 6 Nm.
Feedback and electrical interface
The SinCos Hiperface absolute encoder provides single-turn position data, compatible with Lexium and third-party drives supporting the Hiperface protocol. Electrical connection is via a printed circuit board connector. Stator resistance is 1.08 Ω and inductance 4.7 mH at 20 °C. Torque constant is 0.89 Nm/A and back-EMF constant is 58.5 V/krpm, both at 68 °F (20 °C). Maximum RMS current is 30 A on both supply voltages.
The motor mounts on an international standard flange with a 100 mm flange size, 95 mm centring collar diameter, and 3.5 mm centring collar depth. Shaft diameter is 19 mm with a keyed shaft end and 40 mm shaft length. Overall length including shaft is 273 mm (10.7 in). Housing is rated IP65; shaft end is IP54. Cooling is by natural convection only — no forced-air or liquid cooling required. Maximum radial force depends on speed: 990 N at 1000 rpm, derating to 580 N at 5000 rpm.
