The BMI1003P27F is a three-phase, 10-pole, 3-stack servo motor rated for 208–480 V supply. It ships with an integrated holding brake (9 Nm holding torque) and an absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface feedback encoder — no external brake module or separate encoder purchase needed for positioning duties. Enclosure is IP65, so it handles washdown or dusty environments without an extra cover. Cooling is natural convection — no fan or forced air required.
Torque, speed, and voltage — the practical curve
Nominal torque drops as supply voltage rises: 7.2 Nm at 208 V, 6.8 Nm at 400 V, 5.6 Nm at 480 V. Peak stall torque stays constant at 19.2 Nm across the three voltage ranges. Nominal speed also varies — 1500 rpm at 208 V, 3000 rpm at 400 V, 3700 rpm at 480 V — so the same motor gives different output curves depending on what drive voltage you feed it.
Mounting and connection
Flange size is 100 mm (3.9 in) international standard. Shaft diameter 19 mm, untapped end, length 40 mm. Centring collar depth 3.5 mm. Mounting holes at 9 mm diameter — four-point pattern. Electrical connection via printed-circuit-board connector (no separate junction box). Radial force limits vary with speed: 1050 N at 1000 rpm down to 610 N at 5000 rpm; axial force limited to 20% of radial.
