Compared to the BMI1003P32A, the BMI1003P31A uses a single-turn absolute encoder (131072 points/turn) versus a multiturn encoder (131072 points/turn x 4096 turns) — choose the BMI1003P31A when single-turn position feedback is sufficient and multiturn tracking is not required. The BMI1003P31A has a keyed shaft, while the BMI1003P27A has an untapped shaft — confirm coupling compatibility before selection.
