What this frame is and what it carries
The C080B3FM is a ComPacT NS800LB basic frame — the unpopulated chassis for a 3-pole, 800 A air circuit breaker. It ships without a trip unit or protection module. You add the control unit separately, which means this order code is for the frame only: the mechanical base with the arc chambers, main contacts, and manual operating mechanism. Rated 800 A at 50 °C, it's sized for high-current distribution in switchboards and industrial power panels.
Breaking capacity and what it means for coordination
The Ics (service breaking capacity) matches the Icu at 415 V: 200 kA. That means the breaker can be reclosed after a fault at that level without immediate replacement, which is unusual — most frames have a lower Ics. For selectivity studies, the Icw is 19.2 kA for 1 second, so downstream breakers have time to clear before this frame trips on short delay.
Fixed backplate mount, 210 mm wide, 224 mm tall, 147 mm deep. Connection pitch is 70 mm. IP40 front face, IK07 impact resistance. Overvoltage category III means it's rated for fixed installation downstream of the utility transformer. The front face is Class II insulated — no protective earth connection needed on the operator side.
