The C102100S is a Schneider Electric ComPacT NSX100NA switch disconnector rated for 100 A in AC-22A and AC-23A duty across 220–690 V AC, and DC-22A/DC-23A up to 750 V DC (3 poles in series). Two-pole configuration, fixed-mount on a backplate with front-front connections — a straightforward panel layout for distribution disconnects.
The 100 A rating is the same across AC-22A (resistive/mixed loads) and AC-23A (motor switching with occasional overloads), so this one part covers both duty classes without derating. The 690 V AC operational voltage and 800 V insulation voltage give headroom for 400 V and 480 V line-to-line systems. DC ratings are per-pole: 100 A at 250 V DC single-pole, or 100 A at 500 V DC with two poles in series — useful for DC bus isolation in drives or battery circuits. The switch is certified for isolation per EN/IEC 60947-3, meaning it provides a visible gap when open (contact position indicator confirms status). IP40 enclosure protection keeps out tools and wires over 1 mm — fine for clean indoor panels, but not for washdown environments.
Integration notes
Fixed backplate mounting with 105 mm width and 161 mm height — fits a standard DIN-rail footprint but uses screw-fixed backplate rather than snap-on DIN clips. Front-front wiring with 35 mm connection pitch; toggle control handle protrudes forward. Mechanical durability of 50,000 cycles; electrical durability varies by duty — 35,000 cycles at 440 V with half-rated current (AC-22A/AC-23A), 20,000 cycles at full rated current. For high-cycle applications like conveyor isolation, plan replacement intervals accordingly.
