Product details

The Schneider Electric C1035Z100 is a MicroLogic 5.2 A-Z electronic trip unit for the ComPacT NSX100...250 molded-case circuit breaker platform. It's the brains of the breaker — the part that measures current, decides when to trip, and logs what happened. This is an electronic trip unit, not a thermal-magnetic one. That means you get adjustable long-time (L), short-time (S), and instantaneous (I) protection — LSI — plus a full LCD display that shows metered values, alarm logs, and event histories. It communicates via the breaker's internal bus — energy metering, protection settings, time-stamped events, demand values, and maintenance indicators all come through that channel. Zone selective interlocking (ZSI) is built in, so in a multi-tier distribution panel you can wire the trip units together to clear a fault at the closest breaker without waiting for a time delay. That's the difference between a coordinated shutdown and a whole-floor blackout.

The long-time pickup Ir is adjustable from 40 to 100 A in nine steps, with a delay Tr adjustable from 15 to 400 seconds at 1.5 x Ir. That range lets you set the overload curve to match a transformer inrush or a motor start without nuisance tripping, but also clear a sustained overload before the cable insulation degrades. The short-time pickup Isd adjusts from 1.5 to 10 x Ir with a delay tsd from 0 to 0.4 seconds, I²t on or off. Instantaneous pickup Ii goes from 1.5 to 12 x In. If you're doing a selective coordination study per IEC 60947-2, these are the knobs you turn to get the time-current curves to stack properly.

Physical and environmental fit

It's a 3-pole unit with 3D protected poles, designed for fixed mounting in the ComPacT NSX100...250 breaker frame. No earth-leakage protection built in — if you need that, you'd pair it with a Vigi module or an external RCD.

Frequently asked questions

What standards does the C1035Z100 comply with?

It complies with EN/IEC 60947-2, the standard for low-voltage switchgear and controlgear — specifically for circuit breakers. Pollution degree 3 per IEC 60947-1 and electrical shock protection Class II also apply.

What protection functions does the MicroLogic 5.2 A-Z trip unit provide?

LSI protection: long-time (L) for overload, short-time (S) for short-circuit with adjustable delay, and instantaneous (I) for high-level faults. All three are adjustable independently, with the ranges listed in the spec table.

Where can I buy the C1035Z100 and get current pricing?

We source the C1035Z100 to order against an RFQ through independent distribution channels. Availability and current pricing are confirmed at quote time — submit an RFQ and we'll come back with a commercial offer.
