This puts it in the sweet spot for distribution panelboard feeder protection or as a main breaker in a sub-distribution board where fault levels are moderate.
If your panel runs hotter, you'll need to derate per the manufacturer's curve. The TM-D trip unit gives a fixed thermal-magnetic curve — thermal for overload, magnetic for short-circuit — with no interchangeable trip unit or electronic adjustments. It's a fit-and-forget breaker for distribution duty. It's suitability for isolation (yes, per IEC 60947-2) means you can use it as a disconnecting means for safe maintenance, provided local codes accept a breaker for that role.
Integration notes
Mounts on a backplate — not DIN rail — so plan for panel-mounting with the 9 module pitch (81 mm width, 137 mm height, 80 mm depth). Connection is front-facing on both line and load sides, accepting compression lugs or busbars. The connection pitch is 35 mm with spreaders, 27 mm without. Toggle handle, local flag for auxiliary contact presence.
