The MicroLogic 5.0 electronic trip unit provides L (long-time overload), S (short-time short-circuit), and I (instantaneous short-circuit) protection curves — no ground-fault module on this variant. Breaking capacity is 85 kA Icu at 240 V AC, 70 kA at 415 V AC, 65 kA at 440 V, 50 kA at 525 V, and 42 kA at 690 V — all at 50/60 Hz. The 20-minute thermal memory in the MicroLogic 5.0 prevents nuisance tripping on repeated inrush events, which matters for motor or transformer loads that cycle hot.
Fixed mounting on a backplate. Dimensions: 327 mm high, 280 mm wide, 147 mm deep. Connection pitch is 70 mm; both upside and downside connections are front-accessible.
Durability and signalling
Mechanical durability is 10,000 cycles. Electrical durability varies with load: 2,000 cycles at 690 V at full rated current, 3,000 at half current, 4,000 at 440 V full current, 5,000 at half current. Local signalling uses four red LEDs for fault indication and one yellow LED for overload — no remote comms on this base version.
