The C16H4TM125: The H breaking capacity code delivers 70 kA Icu at 380/415 V AC and 100 kA Icu at 220/240 V AC, per IEC 60947-2. At 480 V AC the UL rating is 65 kA Icu. That SCCR headroom allows the NSX160H to serve as the main breaker in a panel fed by a transformer in the 500–1000 kVA range, where available fault current can exceed 50 kA. The utilisation category A means it is not intended for motor starting duty — use a motor-circuit protector (MCP) for that application.
Trip unit and protection
The thermal element tracks RMS heating in the conductor; the magnetic element responds instantaneously to a fault. The neutral protection setting is fixed at 1 x Ir (4D), meaning the neutral pole is protected at the same level as the phase poles — standard for 4-pole distribution breakers. No earth-leakage protection is integrated; add a Vigil Earth-leakage module externally if required.
Mounts on a backplate in either horizontal or vertical orientation. Front connections on both upside and downside simplify busbar and cable routing in a panel. The 140 mm width, 161 mm height, and 86 mm depth fit standard ComPacT NSX cutouts. The IP40 enclosure is suitable for indoor switchgear; IK07 impact resistance handles incidental tool contact during commissioning.
