400 A thermal-magnetic protection for distribution panels
It provides L (overload) and I (short-circuit) protection in a 4-pole, 4P configuration. The 85 kA Icu at 220/240 V AC (50/60 Hz) per EN/IEC 60947-2 means it can safely interrupt fault currents up to that level without upstream cascading — sized for high-fault distribution panels where a 400 A frame handles the main feed.
Mounts on a backplate or DIN rail, with horizontal or vertical orientation permitted. The 185 mm width, 255 mm height, and 110 mm depth fit standard distribution panel cutouts. IP40 enclosure protection suits clean indoor environments; IK07 impact resistance handles incidental tool contact during panel work.
The Icu breaking capacity varies with system voltage: 85 kA at 240 V, 50 kA at 415 V, 42 kA at 440 V, 30 kA at 500 V, 22 kA at 525 V, and 10 kA at 690 V. At 415 V — the most common industrial distribution voltage — the 50 kA rating covers most transformer-fed panels.
