MicroLogic 6.0 control unit for ComPacT NS630b-1600
The Schneider Electric C60WM is a MicroLogic 6.0 electronic control unit for the ComPacT NS630b-1600 new generation withdrawable circuit breakers. It provides selective (S) and earth-fault (G) protection on top of the standard long-time (L) and instantaneous (I) functions — the LSI+G protection suite. Rated for trip unit currents from 630 A up to 1600 A at 50 °C, this is the brain that decides when the breaker opens and how fast.
What the protection settings mean on the line
The long-time pickup (Ir) adjusts from 0.4 to 1.0 x In across nine settings, with a thermal memory that holds the heat profile for 20 minutes — critical for motor starts where the second start sees a warmer conductor. Short-time pickup (Isd) spans 1.5 to 10 x Ir, also nine settings, with delay adjustable 0 to 0.4 s (I²t on or off). Instantaneous pickup (Ii) goes 2 to 15 x In, and can be switched Off entirely for selective coordination downstream. Ground-fault pickup (Ig) adjusts from 0.2 to 1.0 x In (for 400 A < In < 1250 A), with delay matching the short-time range. All of this means the unit can be dialed in for a specific feeder's coordination study — not just a fixed curve.
This control unit is designed for the withdrawable version of the ComPacT NS630b-1600 frame. That means the breaker chassis stays wired to the bus; the cradle-mounted unit slides in and out for testing or swap without disturbing the main power connections. The protected poles config is 4t, 3t, or 3t + N/2 — covers three- and four-pole arrangements. Local signaling uses three red LEDs for electrical faults, one red for internal error, one yellow for overload. No zone-selective interlocking (ZSI) on this variant.
