The Schneider Electric TeSys CAD32AEL is a Deca-series control relay with a 3 NO + 2 NC pole configuration, rated for operational voltages up to 690 V and fitted with a 48 V DC low-consumption coil. It uses snap-in terminals for fast panel wiring.
The 3 NO + 2 NC contact arrangement gives you three normally-open and two normally-closed auxiliary contacts — enough to handle a start/stop interlock plus a status feedback pair in a motor starter or valve control circuit. The 48 V DC coil is a low-consumption variant, meaning it draws less control power than a standard DC coil, which matters when the 24 VDC supply is shared across multiple relays in a panel. Utilisation categories AC-15, AC-14, and DC-13 cover solenoid-valve and contactor-coil switching (AC-15), electromagnetic loads at lower currents (AC-14), and DC inductive loads like brake coils or DC contactors (DC-13). The relay is certified to EN/IEC 60947-5-1, UL 60947-5-1, CSA C22.2 No 60947-5-1, GB/T 14048.5, and JIS C8201-5-1 — so it is accepted in European, North American, Chinese, and Japanese panels without extra paperwork. Mechanical robustness is specified: the relay withstands 10 Gn shocks when open and 15 Gn when closed, plus vibration of 2 Gn (open) and 4 Gn (closed) across 5–300 Hz. That is enough for most industrial machinery but worth checking if the panel is mounted on a high-vibration press or mobile equipment.
The IP2X front-face protection (per VDE 0106) means accidental finger contact with live terminals is prevented — standard for open-panel installations.
