Control relay for control-circuit switching
The CAD32AKD is a TeSys Deca control relay from Schneider Electric, built for switching control circuits in motor starters and automation panels. It carries 3 normally-open and 2 normally-closed contacts, rated for utilisation categories AC-15, AC-14, and DC-13 — which means it handles solenoid and contactor coil loads in AC and DC control circuits, not power switching. The 100 V DC standard coil snaps into a DIN-rail base with snap-in terminals, saving wiring time on the panel.
The AC-15 rating covers switching electromagnetic loads (contactors, relays) up to the relay's rated operational voltage of ≤690 V. The DC-13 rating covers DC solenoid loads — important when the relay drives DC coil contactors or valves. The 3NO+2NC contact arrangement gives you three make contacts for pilot circuits and two break contacts for interlocks or status feedback, a common pattern for two-speed or reversing starter logic.
Rated for shock resistance: 10 Gn for 11 ms when open, 15 Gn for 11 ms when closed. Vibration tolerance is 2 Gn (5–300 Hz) open, 4 Gn closed — enough for industrial panel mounting near moderate vibration sources like contactors or small motors, but not for direct machine mounting without isolation. Storage range is -60 to 80 °C, which covers most warehouse conditions. Altitude limit is 0–3000 m; above that, derate air insulation and cooling.
