The CAD32AS7 is a TeSys Deca control relay from Schneider Electric's TeSys range, configured with 3 normally-open and 2 normally-closed contacts. It's designed for control-circuit switching in industrial panels, rated for operational voltages up to 690 V and carrying utilisation categories AC-15, AC-14, and DC-13 — meaning it handles solenoid and electromagnetic loads in AC control circuits, and DC inductive loads like contactor coils. The 500 V AC standard coil is built into the snap-in terminal base.
The DC-13 rating covers DC inductive loads, which is relevant when the relay is switching DC contactor coils or brake solenoids in a panel. The 3NO+2NC contact arrangement gives you three independent make contacts for pilot devices or PLC inputs, plus two break contacts for safety interlocks or status feedback. Mechanical robustness is specified: the relay withstands 10 Gn shocks for 11 ms in the open position and 15 Gn when closed, with vibration resistance of 2 Gn (open) and 4 Gn (closed) across 5–300 Hz. That's enough for installation on machinery with moderate vibration — conveyors, pumps, compressors — without nuisance dropout. The IP2X front-face protection means finger-safe to VDE 0106, which is standard for enclosed panel mounting. Operating temperature spans -40 to 60 °C, with derating required above 60 °C up to 70 °C. Storage range is -60 to 80 °C. Altitude rating goes to 3000 m without derating. The TH protective treatment per IEC 60068 means the relay is treated against tropical humidity — suitable for non-condensing environments in most industrial settings.
The snap-in terminals accept the coil and contact wiring; no separate base is needed. Mount it alongside contactors in a motor control centre or as an interposing relay between a PLC output card and higher-current loads.
