Control relay, not a contactor — why the distinction matters
The CAD32N7 is a control relay from the TeSys Deca range, designed for switching control circuits — not for direct motor starting. Its 3 NO + 2 NC pole configuration handles signalling, interlocking, and logic-level loads in panels where a contactor's arc-quenching and high inrush rating would be overkill. Rated for utilisation categories AC-14, AC-15, and DC-13, it switches solenoid valves, contactor coils, and indicator lamps — loads with moderate inductive kick.
Global approvals and environmental tolerance
Certified to EN/IEC 60947-5-1, UL 60947-5-1, CSA C22.2 No 60947-5-1, GB/T 14048.5, and JIS C8201-5-1 — the relay carries the approvals needed for machinery shipped into North America, Europe, China, and Japan without separate qualification. Operating ambient range is -40 to 60 °C, with derating up to 70 °C. Storage tolerance spans -60 to 80 °C. TH protective treatment per IEC 60068 handles humid, corrosive environments — common in pulp-and-panel or wastewater control cabinets. Shock-rated at 10 Gn (relay open) and 15 Gn (relay closed) per IEC 60068-2-27; vibration resistance is 2 Gn (open) and 4 Gn (closed) across 5–300 Hz. The IP2X front-face protection (VDE 0106) means the live terminals are touch-safe from the panel front.
The relay occupies a 45 mm wide footprint — two standard 22.5 mm module positions on a DIN rail. Height is 77 mm, depth 84 mm.
