The EZC250F3250 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker from Schneider Electric's EasyPact range, rated 250 A at 40 °C and 250 A at 50 °C. The 10 kA Icu at 440 V AC is the interrupting capacity at a common industrial voltage; at 400–415 V AC it rises to 15 kA, and at 380 V AC to 18 kA. For a distribution panel feeding motor control centers or lighting, that's enough fault-clearing for most 400 V class installations without cascading upstream. Rated operational voltage goes up to 550 V AC and 250 V DC.
Fixed mounting on a backplate, front connections both top and bottom. Connection pitch of 35 mm matches common busbar and lug spacing. IP20 finger-safe protection on the front, IK07 impact resistance per IEC 62262, so it handles incidental tool drops in the enclosure.
Protection and duty
The TM-D trip unit provides overload protection (thermal bimetal) and short-circuit protection (magnetic solenoid). No earth-leakage or neutral protection built in — it's a straight 3-pole breaker with all three poles protected. Category A utilization means it's not intended for frequent switching under load; it's a distribution breaker, not a motor-starter disconnect. Mechanical durability of 10,000 cycles is typical for this class — fine for infrequent switching, not for daily load-break duty.
