The Schneider Electric EZC250N3250 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker from the EasyPact EZC250N series, rated 250 A at 40 °C and fitted with a TM-D thermal-magnetic trip unit. It provides short-circuit and overload protection for distribution applications per EN/IEC 60947-2. The TM-D trip unit is thermal-magnetic, meaning it uses a bimetal element for overload protection and a solenoid for short-circuit interruption. No electronic adjustment — the trip curve is fixed, which simplifies specification but limits coordination flexibility compared to an electronic Micrologic trip unit.
The EZC250N3250 carries a 20 kA Icu (ultimate breaking capacity) at 440 V AC 50/60 Hz per IEC 60947-2. At 380 V AC that rises to 25 kA Icu, and at 220–240 V AC it reaches 50 kA Icu. For DC applications, the breaker is rated 20 kA Icu at 125 V DC (1 pole) and 20 kA Icu at 250 V DC (2 poles). The 8 kA Icu at 550 V AC marks the upper voltage limit of the device — at that voltage the interrupting capability drops, so selectivity studies should use the 550 V figure if the system runs near that level.
Fixed-mount design for backplate installation. The 105 mm width and 165 mm height fit standard panel cutouts for the EasyPac EZC250N frame size.
