MCCB for distribution boards — 200 A, H-frame, earth-leakage integrated
The Schneider EasyPact EZCV250H44200 is a 4-pole molded case circuit breaker rated 200 A at 40 °C, part of the EasyPact EZCV250H family. It carries a TM-D thermal-magnetic trip unit with a 100 kA Icu breaking capacity at 220–240 V AC (50/60 Hz) per IEC 60947-2, stepping down to 36 kA at 380–415 V and 25 kA at 440 V. Earth-leakage protection is built in, so it covers both overload/short-circuit and ground-fault in one device, saving a panel row versus a separate ELCB. The toggle handle gives positive contact indication — you see the position, no ambiguity.
The 100 kA Icu at 240 V AC is the headline number, but the 25 kA Icu at 440 V AC is the one that governs most 400 V-class industrial panels. At 380–415 V it holds 36 kA — enough for most secondary distribution boards behind a 1 MVA transformer. The TM-D trip unit is thermal-magnetic, not electronic: no auxiliary power needed, no adjustment dials, just a fixed thermal curve for overload and a fixed magnetic pickup for short-circuit. That makes it a straight swap for an older thermal-magnetic MCCB without re-coordination studies. Rated insulation and operational voltage both sit at 440 V AC — match that to your system voltage. The 4 poles protect all phases; neutral protection is not provided (the neutral pole is switched but not protected). If your design requires a protected neutral, this is not the variant. Mechanical durability of 10,000 cycles is typical for a distribution breaker — not a concern for infrequent switching, but not rated for daily load-break duty.
Environmental and physical fit
Dimensions: 165 mm high, 140 mm wide, 68 mm deep. IP20 finger-safe terminals; IK07 impact resistance covers accidental tool drops during panel work. Standards compliance includes IEC 60947-2, JIS C8201-2-2, and GB/T 14048.2, so it is accepted in European, Japanese, and Chinese installations without additional certification paperwork.
