The Schneider Electric G12E3F25 is a GoPact MCCB 125 moulded-case circuit breaker rated 25 A at 40 °C, with a 15 kA breaking capacity at 380/415 V AC. Rated operational voltage is 415 V AC 50/60 Hz, and the insulation voltage is 440 V AC — both conforming to EN/IEC 60947-2. The utilisation category is A, meaning it is not intended for frequent switching of motor loads but for distribution protection where the breaker opens only under fault conditions.
If the ambient temperature in your panel runs higher — say 50 °C — you need to derate; the operating range is -20 to 55 °C, but the 25 A figure is only guaranteed at 40 °C. That is adequate for most secondary distribution panels fed from a transformer of 630 kVA or smaller. Power dissipation is 18.7 W per pole, so at full load the three poles together dissipate about 56 W inside the enclosure. That heat must be considered when sizing the cabinet and spacing between breakers — tight packing without ventilation can raise internal temperature and reduce the effective rating.
Deployment context and mounting
This MCCB mounts fixed to a backplate — not DIN rail — so plan for screw-down installation with a 25 mm connection pitch. Both line and load connections are front-accessed screw terminals, which simplifies wiring in a panel but means the breaker occupies a fixed footprint of 75 mm wide by 130 mm high by 60 mm deep. The IP20 degree of protection means it is finger-safe but not sealed against water or dust ingress — suitable for indoor panel installation only. If your application requires washdown or outdoor exposure, this breaker needs to be inside a sealed enclosure.
