Overview
The GC1611B5 is a 2-pole TeSys GC contactor rated for 16 A switching current with a 40 A breaking capacity at 400 V AC, energised by a 24 V AC 50 Hz coil. It carries one normally-open and one normally-closed auxiliary contact and is built to IEC 60947-5 and IEC 61095.
Rated for AC-7A and AC-7B utilization, the GC1611B5 is sized for motor control and resistive loads such as heating and lighting, not for general power switching or high-inrush inductive loads. The 16 A switching current and 40 A breaking capacity at 400 V match it to small motors and lighting circuits within that envelope.
Compared to the 4-pole TeSys K LC1K09004F7 (9 A, 110 A making capacity at 400 V), the GC1611B5 offers a higher 16 A switching current but only 2 poles and a lower 40 A breaking capacity. The LC1K09004F7 suits multi-pole motor circuits needing higher fault making, while the GC1611B5 fits compact 2-pole heating or lighting panels where 16 A is the load limit.
