Overview
The GS1AE5 is a Schneider TeSys GS shaft extension, order code GS1AE5, rated for 630 A switching current with a 15 x 15 mm shaft cross section. It is side mounted and accepts an external operating handle, functioning as a locking accessory within the TeSys GS range.
This shaft extension couples the external operating handle to the switch-disconnector mechanism, allowing the handle to be mounted remotely from the switch body. The 15 x 15 mm shaft cross section matches the corresponding TeSys GS switch rotary interface. Side mounting positions the extension parallel to the switch enclosure, saving depth in the panel.
Applications
TeSys GS shaft extensions are used in motor switch-disconnector and fuse-switch disconnector assemblies where the operating handle must be located on the enclosure door or a remote panel face. The GS1AE5 suits high-current disconnectors in the 600–1250 A range, common in industrial power distribution, machine tool disconnects, and HVAC equipment.
