The GS1LG4 is a TeSys GS fuse switch disconnector body — the base unit that accepts the fuse carrier and operating handle to make a complete disconnecting switch. It is a 4-pole, DIN-rail-mounted device rated for 160 A at 400 V AC in AC-23B duty, which means it handles motor loads with occasional inrush (switching of motors or other highly inductive loads). The breaking capacity is 1280 A at 400 V AC-23B, and the making capacity is 1600 A at the same voltage and duty — so it can close onto a fault without welding contacts. It meets IEC 60269-1, IEC 60947-3, and IEC 60269-2 standards for fuse-links and switch-disconnectors.
For DC applications, it carries 125 A at 440 V with two poles in series per phase.
This part is marked obsolete by the manufacturer. There is no listed direct successor in the evidence.
Mounts on DIN rail via the rail plate. The operating handle can be fitted on the external right side or external front.
Durability and environmental
Mechanical durability is 10,000 cycles; electrical durability is 1,000 cycles in AC-23A/B and 200 cycles in DC-23A/B. The fuse cover passes the glow-wire test at 850 °C, and the body at 960 °C (IEC 60695-2-1), so it meets fire-resistance requirements for panel interiors. Network frequency is 50/60 Hz, and the device works on both AC and DC networks.
