The GS1L4 is a TeSys GS fuse switch disconnector body — a 4-pole, DIN-rail-mounting device rated for 160 A at 400 V AC-23B, with a breaking capacity of 1280 A at 400 V AC-23B. It accepts T0 DIN fuses and is built to IEC 60269-1, IEC 60947-3, and IEC 60269-2. The IP20 finger-safe terminal cover (IEC 60529) protects the power circuit connections in a panel environment.
The AC-23B duty rating (160 A at 400 V) covers switching of motor loads with occasional overloads; the making capacity of 1600 A at 400 V AC-23B means it can close onto a fault up to that peak without welding contacts. For DC circuits, the rated operational current drops to 125 A at 440 V with two poles in series per phase. The 8 kV rated impulse withstand voltage (Uimp) tells you the clearance and creepage are designed for industrial mains with surge exposure.
The power circuit accepts bars or screw terminals for 50 to 95 mm² flexible copper. Tightening torque is 12 N·m (106.2 lbf·in) for both bar and screw connections. The operating handle can be mounted externally on the front or right side. Mechanical durability is rated at 10,000 cycles; electrical durability is 1,000 cycles under AC-23A/B and 200 cycles under DC-23A/B.
