The GS2QU3 is a TeSys GS switch-disconnector-fuse — a three-pole, fuse-protected disconnect switch rated for 400 A at 400 V under both AC-22A and AC-23A duty cycles. AC-22A covers mixed resistive and inductive loads (general-purpose switching), while AC-23A handles motor loads with high inrush. At 690 V the motor-rated current drops to 250 A, so for a 480 V motor branch you'd size against the 400 V AC-23A figure. It accepts Class J fuses (UL fuse size J) and connects via power-circuit lugs accepting 0.02 to 0.5 in² (13.3 to 304 mm²) ring terminals. The body is rated for 1760 °F (960 °C) fire resistance per the glow-wire test, and the IP20 terminal cover protects against finger contact in the panel. Ambient operating range is -4 to 158 °F (-20 to 70 °C), storage from -40 to 176 °F (-40 to 80 °C).
Plate-mount design — the GS2QU3 bolts to a back panel or subplate (not DIN rail). Dimensions are 10.2 in (259 mm) wide by 9.4 in (240 mm) tall by 7.09 in (180 mm) deep. The external frontal operating handle extends through the enclosure door, so plan for handle clearance and door interlock if the application requires it. The 3 NO contacts are the main power poles; there are no built-in auxiliary contacts on this variant — add a separate auxiliary block if you need status feedback.
