The GV2DM114B7 is a direct-on-line (DOL) combination motor starter from the Schneider TeSys Deca range. It packages a 3-pole contactor and a motor circuit breaker (type GV2ME) into one block with a GV2AF3 combination base, so you get short-circuit and overload protection plus switching in a single DIN-rail footprint. The thermal protection adjustment range is 6…10 A, and the magnetic trip is fixed at 138 A. That means for a motor drawing, say, 8 A full-load, you dial the thermal dial to match and the magnetic element handles the start-up inrush without nuisance tripping. Rated for AC-3 duty (squirrel-cage motor starting), the unit carries motor power ratings from 3 kW at 400/415 V up to 5.5 kW at 500 V.
Rated breaking capacity (Iq) is 50 kA at 400/415 V per IEC 60947-4-1, dropping to 15 kA at 440 V and 6 kA at 500 V. This is Type 1 coordination — meaning after a fault the starter may need component replacement, but the installation stays safe. For a 400 V line with high available fault current, that 50 kA figure gives solid headroom.
Physical fit
Dimensions are 45 mm wide, 176.4 mm high, and 99.6 mm deep — a standard TeSys Deca footprint that snaps onto DIN rail. The 45 mm width (3-module) fits typical panel layouts without crowding adjacent devices.
