The Schneider TeSys GV2LC0210 is an enclosed direct-on-line (DOL) motor starter, combining a magnetic-trip circuit breaker and a rotary-handle disconnect in a single IP54 polycarbonate enclosure.
The IP54 rating means the polycarbonate enclosure is dust-protected and splash-proof, suitable for light industrial environments but not for washdown zones (that would require IP65 or higher). The 6.3 A fixed thermal setting limits this to a specific motor FLA — if your motor draws 5.5 A or 7.0 A, this is not the right thermal pickup; you would need a different GV2LC variant with the correct adjustment range.
Physical integration
The enclosure measures 173 mm deep, 88 mm wide, and 166 mm high. Cable entry is via ISO knockouts: two 20 mm at top and bottom, plus two 25 mm at top and bottom. The rotary handle accepts up to three 8 mm padlocks for lockout/tagout in the OFF position. The polycarbonate housing is non-metallic, so no additional earthing of the enclosure is required beyond the internal PE connection.
