The Schneider Electric TeSys GV2LC0220R is an enclosed direct-on-line (DOL) starter — a combined circuit breaker and motor starter in one IP54 polycarbonate box, ready to mount near the motor rather than inside a central panel. It is a non-reversing, 3-pole unit with a magnetic trip unit and a thermal protection adjustment range set at 18 A. The polycarbonate housing resists corrosion in washdown or outdoor areas, and the rotary red handle gives a local on/off that can be locked off with up to three 8 mm padlocks.
The interrupting ratings are given per IEC 60947-2 across several voltage levels. At 400...415 V the unit clears 50 kA Icu, and at 440 V it clears 20 kA Icu. At 500 V it clears 10 kA Icu, and at 220...230 V it clears 100 kA Icu.
Cable entry and enclosure details
The box accepts cable entries at top and bottom: two 20 mm ISO knockouts and two 25 mm ISO knockouts per end. That gives flexibility for running conduit or cable glands without drilling. The overall dimensions are 173 mm deep, 88 mm wide, and 166 mm high, so it fits a compact footprint on a machine frame or wall bracket.
