The Schneider Electric TeSys GV2P07KD09G7 is a 3-pole motor starter combining a contactor and thermal-magnetic overload relay in one compact unit, rated for 2.5 A line current. It's designed for direct on-line starting of three-phase motors up to 0.75 kW at 400/415 V AC, 1.1 kW at 500 V, or 1.5 kW at 690 V.
The 2.5 A rated current is the continuous thermal current (IEC 60947-4-1) — this governs the motor FLA it can carry without nuisance tripping. The magnetic trip is set at 33.5 A, so short-circuit protection clears fast on a locked-rotor or phase-to-phase fault. Utilisation categories AC-3 (squirrel-cage motors), AC-4 (plugging/inching), and AC-1 (resistive) cover the common motor-control duties; the 100,000-cycle electrical durability at AC-3 440 V gives a realistic service life for a production line running one start per minute over two shifts.
The 45 mm width (1.8 in) fits a standard 45 mm slot in a TeSys GV2 busbar or distribution block. IP20 finger-safe terminals (IEC 60529) mean it's safe for open-panel installation where only qualified personnel access the enclosure. Screw-clamp terminals accept 1 to 6 mm² solid or 1.5 to 6 mm² flexible wire; torque to 1.7 N·m.
Certified to UL 508, CSA C22.2, IEC 60947-2, IEC 60947-4-1, and EN 60204. The V1 flame retardance (UL 94) and 850 °C glow-wire resistance (IEC 60695-2-1) satisfy the fire-safety requirements for panel components in most industrial and commercial installations.
