Motor Circuit Breaker for Panel Integration
It is certified to both IEC 60947-2 (circuit-breaker standard) and IEC 60947-4-1 (contactor/motor-starter standard), which means it serves as a combined disconnecting and overload-protection device for motor circuits — no separate fuse or overload relay needed upstream for the motor branch. The thermal adjustment range covers 4...6.3 A, letting you dial in the exact full-load current of the motor. The magnetic trip is fixed at 138 A, which clears short-circuit faults without nuisance tripping on motor inrush.
SCCR and Coordination
Rated for 100 kA at 400 V and 50 kA at 500 V, the GV2RT103 sits in the high-interrupting tier of the TeSys Deca family. For panel builders, this means the breaker can be placed ahead of a motor starter without requiring a current-limiting fuse for SCCR compliance up to that fault level — a direct saving in panel space and component count. At 690 V the interrupting rating drops to 3 kA, so coordination studies should verify adequacy at that voltage.
Snaps onto 35 mm symmetrical DIN rail or screws to a panel via an adaptor plate. The spring-cage power terminals accept 1...6 mm² solid or 1.5...4 mm² flexible wire (with or without ferrules), two conductors per terminal. Mounting can be horizontal or vertical; the toggle handle provides manual on/off control and a clear visual position indicator for isolation verification.
