Its thermal-magnetic trip unit combines a bimetallic overload element adjustable from 9 to 14 A with a fixed magnetic trip set at 280 A, so it handles both sustained overloads and short-circuit faults in one package. Rated for uninterrupted duty per IEC 60947-4-1, it carries a 14 A continuous current and is listed for motor protection at 2.2 kW on 230 V AC up to 11 kW on 690 V AC. For transformer protection, the same unit covers 4 kW at 230/240 V AC up to 12.5 kW at 690 V AC. The breaking capacity (Icu) per IEC 60947-2 is 100 kA at 230 V AC, dropping to 15 kA at 400/415 V, 8 kA at 440 V, 6 kA at 500 V, and 3 kA at 690 V.
The 45 mm width (one standard modular unit) slots into a crowded enclosure without stealing extra space. Horizontal or vertical orientation is permitted. Power connections are spring terminals accepting 1 to 6 mm² solid or 1.5 to 4 mm² flexible wire (with or without ferrules). No screwdriver torque check needed — the spring cage holds the conductor firmly and resists vibration loosening. IP20 finger-safe protection on the front face; IK04 impact resistance. The enclosure is self-extinguishing at 960 °C per IEC 60695-2-11.
