The GV4P115N6 is a 3-pole motor circuit breaker from Schneider's TeSys GV4 range, rated 115 A line current and built for motor protection under IEC and UL standards. It uses an electronic thermal-magnetic trip unit that combines adjustable overload protection with a fixed magnetic trip of 1955 A, so it clears a bolted fault fast while letting inrush ride through cleanly.
Where it sits in a panel
At 165 mm deep, 81 mm wide, and 155 mm tall, it fits a standard 3-pole breaker footprint in the TeSys Deca frame. The connection pitch is 27 mm without spreaders, 35 mm with, and the lugs accept ring terminals up to 95 mm². Mount it in any orientation, but pollution degree 3 means it's fine for a typical control panel environment — just don't drop it into a washdown zone without an extra enclosure; the IP40 front keeps fingers off terminals but won't stop hose spray.
Electrical performance that matters
The breaking capacity drops with voltage — that's normal, but the numbers here are worth noting because they cover the common industrial bus voltages in one device: 100 kA Icu at 240 V AC (IEC), 50 kA at 415 V, and 35 kA under UL at 480Y/277 V. That last figure is the one most US plants will care about; it exceeds the typical 25 kA fault duty on a 480 V MCC bucket.
