The Schneider Electric GV4P50B is a 3-pole motor circuit breaker from the TeSys GV4 series, rated 50 A continuous for motor protection in accordance with IEC/UL 60947-4-1. It belongs to the TeSys Deca range and provides a rotary handle operation for local isolation.
Breaking capacity and duty ratings
Breaking capacity reaches 50 kA at 240 V AC under UL 60947, and 25 kA at 415 V per IEC 60947-2. For 480Y/277 V systems, the symmetrical interrupting rating is 18 kA. The magnetic trip point is fixed at 850 A, covering motor starting inrush without nuisance trips on AC-3 duty. Electrical durability is rated at 20,000 cycles at AC-3 440 V with half rated current, and 10,000 cycles at full rated current. Mechanical endurance is 40,000 cycles. Maximum operating rate is 25 cycles per hour.
Dimensions are 81 mm wide, 155 mm high, 165 mm deep. The enclosure is IP40 with IK07 impact resistance. Pollution degree 3 rated, suitable for industrial panel environments without additional derating for altitude up to 5000 m. Terminals accept solid or flexible copper: top 1.5–70 mm² solid, bottom 2.5–95 mm² solid. Tightening torque is 9 N·m for main conductors and 5 N·m for control wiring.
