The GV4P80N is a 3-pole motor circuit breaker from the TeSys Deca range, rated 80 A continuous and listed as current production. The 100 kA breaking capacity at 240 V AC covers high-fault panels; at 480Y/277 V it still delivers 35 kA under UL 60947.
Trip and protection logic
Trip technology combines thermal-magnetic overload elements with an electronic magnetic adjustment. The magnetic trip is set at 1360 A, and phase failure sensitivity per IEC 60947-4-1 is built in.
Lifecycle stage is current — this is the active variant in the GV4P series. No official successor listed, so the GV4P80N is the part to specify for new BOM lines or replacement of failed units. We can quote firm lead times against an RFQ.
Mounting and wiring envelope
Dimensions are 6.1 x 3.2 x 6.5 in (155 x 81 x 165 mm), IP40 front face with IK07 impact resistance. EverLink BTR screw terminals on the line side accept 1.5–70 mm² solid or 1.5–50 mm² flexible; load side terminals accept up to 95 mm² solid or 70 mm² flexible. Tightening torques are 79.7 lbf·in (9 N·m) for the main power terminals. The device can be operated in any position.
Durability and environment
Mechanical durability is 40,000 cycles; electrical durability under AC-3 at 440 V is 14,000 cycles at In/2 and 7,000 cycles at In. Maximum operating rate is 25 cycles per hour. The unit withstands vibration per IEC 60068-2-6 (0.7 gn, 13.2–100 Hz) and shock 15 gn for 11 ms. Climatic withstand is IACS, and pollution degree 3 applies.
