Motor circuit breaker with high interrupting capacity
The GV4PB50B is a 3-pole motor circuit breaker from the TeSys GV4 line, rated 50 A continuous and built for motor protection under IEC and UL standards. It carries a 35 kA SCCR at 240 V AC UL and 50 kA Icu at 220/240 V AC IEC, giving it strong fault-clearing capability for industrial distribution. The thermal-magnetic trip unit offers overload and short-circuit protection, with magnetic tripping set at 850 A. Phase failure sensitivity (per IEC 60947-4-1) and suitability for isolation (IEC 60947-1) are included as standard. The breaker is rated for AC-3 switching duty, covering direct-on-line motor starts. Electrical durability is 20,000 cycles at rated current under AC-3, and 10,000 cycles at twice rated current. Mechanical life is 40,000 cycles. Maximum operating rate is 25 cycles per hour, which suits typical motor control panels without excessive switching.
