The GV4PB80N is a TeSys GV4 motor circuit breaker from Schneider Electric, rated 80 A in a 3-pole frame. It provides motor protection against overloads and short circuits via a thermal-magnetic trip unit with an electronic pickup — magnetic tripping set at 1360 A. The breaker carries UL 489 and IEC 60947-2/4-1 approvals, making it suitable for North American and IEC panel builds alike.
Breaking capacity is the headline spec here: 65 kA SCCR at 240 V AC (UL 489) and 100 kA Icu at 220/240 V (IEC 60947-2). The breaker is Category A (no intentional delay for selectivity on short-circuit), so it opens fast — coordination with upstream devices must be checked.
The enclosure is IP40 (finger-safe) and IK07 impact rated, with a gray RAL 7016 finish. It is isolation-suitable per IEC 60947-1, meaning it can serve as a disconnecting means. Phase failure sensitivity is built in, per IEC 60947-4-1. Terminals accept up to 95 mm² rigid on the bottom side, using the EverLink screw connector system.
