The GV4PE115B is a Schneider Electric TeSys GV4 motor circuit breaker rated for 115 A continuous current in AC-3 motor duty, with a magnetic trip threshold of 1955 A and a breaking capacity of 50 kA at 240 V AC per IEC 60947-2.
Ratings and selection
Rated for 115 A line current, this breaker covers motors up to 55 kW at 400 V or 90 kW at 660 V. The electronic thermal-magnetic trip provides adjustable overload and fixed magnetic protection. Magnetic pickup is set at 1955 A, which is 17x In, suited for starting high-inrush loads without nuisance tripping. Breaking capacity is graded by voltage: 50 kA at 240 V, 25 kA at 415 V, and 10 kA at 500 V AC per IEC 60947-2. The UL 60947 listing shows 35 kA at 240 V and 18 kA at 480Y/277 V. Operation classed as Category A (no intentional short-time delay) per IEC 60947-2, and AC-3 motor switching per IEC 60947-4-1. Electrical durability is 10,000 cycles at AC-3 at rated current, and 5,000 cycles at 2x In.
Compliance and physical
Listed to UL 60947-4-1 and CSA C22.2 No 60947-4-1, meeting EN/IEC 60947-4-1 and EN/IEC 60947-2. Fire resistance tested to 960 °C per IEC 60695-2-11. IP40 enclosure, IK07 mechanical impact. Operating altitude up to 5000 m, pollution degree 3. Dimensions: 6.1 in (155 mm) high, 3.2 in (81 mm) wide, 4.6 in (116 mm) deep. Color is gray RAL 7016. Connections use EverLink BTR screw terminals accepting solid or flexible conductors up to 95 mm².
