The Schneider Electric GV4PEM02N is a TeSys GV4 motor circuit breaker rated for 2 A line current, protecting motors in the 0.25–1.5 kW range depending on the supply voltage (400–690 V).
At 240 V AC, the GV4PEM02N delivers 100 kA Icu (IEC 60947-2) — enough for most industrial panel SCCR requirements. At 480Y/277 V UL 60947 it still holds 35 kA, and at 415 V IEC 50 kA. That coverage means this breaker can sit ahead of smaller contactors without needing a separate current-limiting upstream device in many high-fault installations. The category A utilization (IEC 60947-2) indicates it is not intended for selective coordination downstream of another breaker — plan for cascade or backup protection if selectivity is required.
Connections and mounting
EverLink BTR screw terminals on both top and bottom accept up to 95 mm² solid or 70 mm² flexible on the load side. Tightening torque is 9 N·m for the main power terminals and 5 N·m for the control/auxiliary terminals. The unit fits a 81 mm wide footprint (3.2 in), mounts in any position, and is rated IP40 with IK07 impact resistance — fine for a standard enclosure but not for washdown areas. Operating altitude rated to 5000 m, so it works at high-elevation sites without derating.
