The ILE2P661PB1A2 is a Schneider Electric Lexium integrated drive — a brushless DC servo motor with its drive electronics packaged in the same housing. A 66 mm flange and keyed 10 mm shaft drop onto a standard NEMA-style mount plate, and the 174 mm body length fits alongside comparable ILE-family gearheads without re-machining the panel cutout. Connection is through a printed-circuit-board connector; the network is a DC bus, single-phase input, with four signals available as either input or output for end-of-travel, brake release, or pulse-direction handshaking. Natural convection cooling keeps the package sealed — no fan cutout in the surrounding enclosure wall.
Gearhead, torque envelope and rotor inertia
A 3-stage straight-tooth gearhead with a 38:1 (75:2) reduction sits behind the motor, sized for medium speed and medium torque applications such as conveyor indexing, valve actuation, or small-format diverters. Nominal speed lands at 107 rpm at 24 V and 133 rpm at 48 V; current draw peaks at 7 A with 5.5 A maximum continuous, so the upstream DC supply needs a 24/48 V rail sized for that continuous envelope with peak headroom.
Integrated safety and signal I/O
Protection is built into the drive itself: safe torque off (STO) lets a safety circuit remove torque without cutting bus power, and the output stage is guarded against output short-circuit and overload conditions. Four programmable I/O signals double as inputs or outputs, so a single wire pair can serve as enable, fault, or pulse-following depending on the commissioning profile. Position feedback is a BLDC encoder on the motor shaft. With a positioning accuracy of ±0.5 point and no holding brake or second shaft end on this build, the unit suits applications where the gearbox's natural back-driving resistance holds position at standstill and the load is non-vertical.
