Drop-in motion axis for low-voltage DC panels
The ILE2T661PB1A8 is the ILE device short within Schneider Electric's Lexium integrated drive range — a brushless DC motor with a 3-stage worm gearbox and a BLDC encoder feedback channel, built for flange mounting on a machine frame rather than panel-side DIN rail. It runs on a single-phase DC bus with supply limits of 18 to 55.2 V, so the same drive accepts a 24 VDC rail or a 48 VDC rail without reconfiguration, and the nominal torque holds at 10.6 N·m on either supply with peak stall torque of 24.72 N·m available for the acceleration transient. Nominal output power is 37 W on 24 V and 39 W on 48 V at 35 rpm, and the integrated 115:1 reduction (3675:32) delivers that speed and torque directly to the output shaft — the gearbox is not an option to add later, it is the mechanical interface of the unit.
Current draw, protection, and the 4 signal lines
Peak current draw is 7000 mA and maximum continuous draw is 5500 mA, which sets the upstream fuse and PSU sizing — a 24 V supply must deliver at least 7 A of peak headroom, and a 48 V supply roughly half that for the same mechanical output. Onboard protection covers safe torque off, output overvoltage, and output short circuit, and the unit exposes 4 signals that can each be configured as input or output, giving a small PLC or motion controller direct control of limit, enable, and status without an intermediate I/O block. Communication runs at 10 or 100 Mbits, so the drive can sit on a standard Ethernet motion bus or be commissioned over a point-to-point link during bench setup.
Mechanical envelope and field-side ratings
Flange size is 66 mm, overall length 229 mm, with a hollow shaft end and no second shaft — the mating gear, pulley, or coupling mounts directly to the gearbox output, and the unit is cooled by natural convection with no fan to fail. The connection side is a printed circuit board connector, so wiring lands on a header rather than a screw terminal block — the panel-side integration is a cable assembly with the mating housing, not a field-wireable plug. Mechanical endurance is rated to 150 m/s² shock (1000 shocks per IEC 60068-2-29) and 20 m/s² vibration across 10 to 500 Hz over 10 cycles per IEC 60068-2-6, with a 9000 h bearing service life and a detent torque of 16.7 N·m that holds position when the drive is unpowered.
Compliance footprint for machine builders
The unit carries the CE mark and is designed to IEC 50347, EN 61800-3:2001 (second environment), IEC 61800-3 Ed 2, IEC 50178, and IEC 60072-1 — the second-environment EMC classification means it is intended for installation in industrial sites with their own supply transformer, not for direct connection to a residential low-voltage network.
