Obsolete — sourcing through independent channels
Schneider Electric has marked the LA1SK10 as obsolete. No direct successor is listed by the manufacturer. Sourcing now runs through independent surplus and broker channels — quantities are lot-specific, confirmed at RFQ against your BOM line.
The LA1SK10 is a TeSys SK power add-on block carrying one normally-open power pole and one normally-open auxiliary signalling contact. It adds a switched power circuit and a status feedback contact to a contactor or starter assembly without expanding the main power pole count. Rated operational current is 12 A in AC-1 duty at 55 °C for the power circuit, and 10 A for the signalling circuit. The conventional free-air thermal current (Ith) matches these figures — the block is sized for continuous current at the stated ambient.
The making capacity is 66 A at 690 V AC — this is the peak inrush the NO power contact can close onto without welding. For a motor load, the AC-3 utilisation category applies; the block is listed for both AC-1 (resistive) and AC-3 (motor) duty. Short-time withstand current (Icw) is 50 A at 55 °C for the power circuit — the block can hold that fault current for the rated duration without damage, coordinating with a 10 A gI fuse on the signalling circuit per VDE 0660. IP2X finger protection per VDE 0106 means the block is touch-safe inside an enclosure but not sealed against moisture — it belongs in a panel, not a washdown zone. Terminals accept flexible wire with ferrule from 0.35 to 6 mm² on the power side, and solid wire up to 4 mm². Tightening torque is 0.8 Nm using a Pozidriv No 1 bit — consistent with standard terminal block practice in a control panel.
This covers acceptance in most industrial control panels globally. Altitude rating is 2000 m without derating — above that, dielectric strength and thermal dissipation need a correction factor.
