The LA11042 is a 24 V AC/DC shunt trip rated 60 VA at 12 V and 21/168 VA at 24 V, versus the LA11027's fixed 36 W DC-only coil. Pick the LA11027 when the control circuit is 24 V DC and you need the lower inrush; choose the LA11042 for 12 V systems or AC coils.
