What the 4 NO + 1 NC contact stack buys you
The LA1LB021 is a TeSys auxiliary contact block with four normally-open and one normally-closed instantaneous contacts — enough to mirror the contactor state across five separate control circuits without daisy-chaining multiple blocks.
Switching capacity — where the numbers matter
In AC-15 duty (solenoid loads), the block switches 600 VA at 220–240 V and 300 VA at 110–127 V, both for 1.5 million cycles — the endurance ceiling for a contactor auxiliary that cycles with every motor start. DC-13 ratings cover the inductive break: 120 W at 24 V and 68 W at 220 V, each good for 1 million cycles. The making capacity peaks at 8000 VA on 24 V DC and 7500 VA on 380–415 V AC — the inrush a pilot light or PLC input sees when the contactor pulls in.
Lifecycle reality — obsolete, but findable
Schneider lists this part as obsolete. For a line-down situation or a BOM that still carries the LA1LB021, the part is available through independent surplus and broker channels.
