The control circuit voltage spans 100...250 V AC 50/60 Hz and 100...380 V DC, with operational limits of 85...275 V AC and 85...418 V DC at 55 °C. Drop-out thresholds are 60 V AC and 45 V DC – useful for brownout-tolerant designs. The built-in bidirectional peak limiting coil technology reduces inrush current and suppresses voltage spikes, which helps protect PLC outputs and extends contactor life in high-cycle applications. Input compatibility conforms to IEC 61131-2 Type 2 for PLC 24 V DC: off-state between 0...5 V, on-state between 11...30 V. That means you can drive this module directly from a standard 24 V digital output without an interposing relay. Inrush power is 410...450 W (360...470 VA at cos φ 0.5) at 20 °C; holding power settles to 2.5...4 W (4.5...7 VA). Heat dissipation ranges 2.2...5.5 W – factor that into panel thermal calculations if you're stacking modules. That 2400 cyc/h figure is the practical limit for repetitive applications like conveyor control or packaging machinery.
Wiring & mounting details
Control circuit connections are via a removable screw terminal block. Accepts one cable per terminal: 0.2...2.5 mm² flexible (with or without ferrule) or 0.2...2.5 mm² solid. Tightening torque is 0.6 N·m for the control circuit – a standard value across the TeSys range, so no special tools needed. The terminal block is removable, which simplifies pre-wiring on the bench before snapping it onto the contactor.
