The LAEM1 is a mechanical interlock from the Schneider Electric Easy TeSys Control range, designed to physically prevent two contactors from closing simultaneously. It mounts between LC1E06 through LC1E65 contactors, providing a positive-break mechanical link that enforces isolation between power paths. The interlocking type is mechanical, meaning it uses a rigid linkage rather than electrical or electronic logic. This suits applications where a hard-wired guarantee against simultaneous closure is required — reversing drives, changeover schemes, or any circuit where two contactors must never both be ON.
Pole configuration and compatibility
Rated for 3P and 4P contactor configurations, the LAEM1 covers both three-pole and four-pole reversing or dual-feed setups without needing a different interlock variant. The poles description (3P 4P) means the same part works across both pole counts, simplifying stocking for panel builders who use both. Compatibility is explicitly with the LC1E06 through LC1E65 contactor frame sizes. This covers the smaller end of the EasyPact TVS contactor family — typically used for motor loads up to roughly 30 kW at 400 V, depending on duty. If your BOM uses LC1E contactors in that range, the LAEM1 is the interlock to spec.
As a mechanical accessory with no electronics, the LAEM1 has a long service life and no firmware or revision tracking to manage. For MRO planners holding spares for EasyPact TVS contactor lines, one in the cabinet covers both 3P and 4P reversing setups.
