Overview
The LAEP3 is a Schneider Electric Easy TeSys set of connections, rated for 65 A switching current in a 3-pole reversing configuration. It belongs to the EasyPact TVS range. Packaged as a PCE unit, this connection accessory provides the interconnecting wiring for reversing contactor assemblies, eliminating the need for separate bus bars or jumper links.
Function & operation
As a set of connections for reversing contactor pairs, the LAEP3 bridges the main power paths between two contactors — typically a forward and a reverse unit — so that the motor can be switched in either direction without external cross-wiring. The 65 A switching current rating matches the thermal capacity of the LC1E40...E65 contactor range it is built for. The 3-pole configuration handles three-phase reversing applications directly. Because it is a reversing circuit type, the set includes the mechanical interlock linkage that prevents both contactors from closing simultaneously, a requirement for any reversing starter.
Applications
Reversing contactor assemblies built with the LAEP3 are used in motor control centres and standalone starters for conveyors, hoists, winches, door operators, and any three-phase motor that must run in both directions.
